Just learnt how to blog. Very excited. I'm now trying it out. Maybe later when I'm better I can use blogs in class with my students to get feedback from them about my lessons and also to get to know them better.
I must also force myself to do this so that I can keep up with the advanced communication technology and learn to be IT savvy. This can be great fun as I can meet new friends and get to know more people all within the comfort of home. Maybe I can meet fellow teachers and exchange ideas with them through cyberspace.
Tomorrow I will go to school and ask how many of them has blogs and introduce the idea to those who do not have. I have initially wanted them to write a journal but now I can ask them to post it on their blogs. This will be pretty useful if I need to ask them to do something when I am away for courses. I can still give them work and interact with them even if I am not in school.
Wow, the possibilities are limitless!

Dear Yoke Chin:

It's really something !
Hey buddy, looking at the reason your created this blog, I suggest you create a personal teacher blog for yourself.
Any blog which carries the insignia of your school will have to be official & for the school. You might want to get your students to work on this as a special project where they report on what goes on at school.
Come up with the KPIs together & reward them with certificates at the end of the year.
All the best experimenting with social media in complementing your classroom practice!
